And, the most exciting encounter in this election is going to take place at the Vapi GIDC seat. The seat will be contested by two Anavil candidates, where Mr. Nimish Vashi gaining popularity for this seat.
Elections for 18 directors of Sardar Bhiladwala Bank are getting closer. A total of 38 candidates are in the fray for a total of 18 seats. This time there is going to be a direct battle between a Non-political panel and the Sahakar panel. A total of more than 37,000 members from around the district – Vapi, Pardi, Udvada, Vapi GIDC and Umarsadi division will exercise their franchise. But there is a battle of prestige between the two Anavils at the Vapi GIDC seat.
Mr. Nimish Vashi is the managing trustee of Vapi Janseva Hospital, a non-political panel candidate. During the Corona pandemic the Janseva Hospital was at the centre of treatment and relief efforts at Vapi where it worked tirelessly with the Government to control the spread of the deadly disease. Mr. Vashi is also associated with Vapi’s industries and many social organizations. He also enjoys playing an active role in the Anavil community. His family’s philanthropic efforts are also well known. For instance, Mr. Nimesh Vashi’s mother had donated Rs 75 lakh to the Vapi Janseva Hospital in memory of her late husband Mr. Ramesh Chandra Vashi and thus had really done a great service to human service. This Anavil family is engaged in several other social work endeavours, which is why voters are more likely to vote for them. Mr Vashi is competing against Mr. Jitubhai Desai of the cooperation panel candidate, who is a member of Vapi Nagar Palika. All eyes are on who the Vapi GIDC members are mandating this time. Apart from Mr. Nimish Vashi, Mr. Hemant Bhagat, Mr. Aspi Shavaksha Sui and Mr. Kirti Rajput of the non-political panel of the Pardi division are considered strong candidates against the panel. However many faces are new to the cooperation panel this time – Valsad MLA Mr. Bharat Patel is also the candidate from Pardi division, who are contesting election for the first time. It is certain that the result in this election will surely surprise us as the new faces in the cooperation panel can cause an upset to the incumbents.
