Many bird flu cases have been noted across the country. The disease known to spread through birds, has put chicken consumers at risk. However, according to the reports of the health department no cases of bird flu have been reported in Valsad yet.
Rumours of bird flu having entered Valsad started when a wounded bird was found at the Tithal beach today. When veterinary and forest officials reached the site they saw that the bird was injured and couldn’t fly. They also observed other birds around for signs of any illnesses but no illness was found.The Valsad Veterinary Department also conducted a bird flu test in 199 poultry farms across the district in which none of the birds showed any symptoms of the flu.
