Builder Jitu Patel, a resident of Umargam in Valsad, was abducted seven days ago. Valsad police worked day and night to rescue him from a house located in a deep forest near Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. The important thing about this operation is that the police rescued builder Jitu Patel in a safe condition without paying a single rupee. They also nabbed 7 kidnappers of Sonar gang.
Surat Range AD DG Rajkumar Pandian held a press conference along with Valsad SP Rajdeep Singh Zala to give information about the action taken by the police to secure the release of the builder. They said that after the abduction of Jitu Patel, at first there were no strong leads. The kidnappers were calling from Surat, Bardoli and Vadodara in Gujarat for ransom. They wanted ransom in Marathi language. Due to which it was speculated that this gang was a Marathi gang and they were operating from Gujarat. However, as the investigation of the case went deeper and with the help of a network of informants as well as technical intelligence, it was found out that the work belonged to the Bihari gang. After the gang was identified, two of its members were reported to be arriving at Mumbai’s Borivali station. Following which, the Valsad police deftly nabbed the two abductors from Borivali station and after interrogation, it was found that they had kept Jitu Patel in a house in a dense forest in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Following which a team of police raided there. 5 kidnappers were deployed around him. Who were also carrying a pistol. However, a team of Valsad police rescued builder Jitu Patel from them safely.

The plan was hatched by Sonar gang leader Pappu Chaudhary
The abduction of the Valsad builder was planned by the current leader of the Sonar gang, Pappu Chaudhary. Pappu Chaudhary along with his accomplices kidnapped the builder and hid him. Then it was Pappu Chaudhary who demanded ransom from Gujarat and then returned to Mumbai.
Police examined footage from a 1000 CCTV camera
To find the builder, police checked CCTV footage of more than 1,000 cameras from various areas from Vadodara to Mumbai. They also collected data from several mobiles through which they were able to trace the Sonar gang members of Bihar.
