The Patidar Premier League Cricket Tournament was organized by the Patidar Samaj over the weekend in Kalwada village of Valsad for the benefit of a 3-year-old girl. Through this tournament, a sum of Rs. 19.30 lakh was collected by the society and handed over to the girl’s family. The future of a little girl has become brighter with this one tournament. Young man Ronak Shirishbhai Patel, a resident of Nana Thakkarwada village in Valsad, died in an accident. After the death of the father, the condition of the girl and the family became dire. Then the youth of Kalwada came forward for the upliftment of this family. Jayeshbhai Amaratbhai Patel, an NRI from Kalwada village, came to Valsad from America. He organized a three-day cricket tournament for the youth of the society at the DZ Patel Cricket Ground in Kalawada village. All the expenses of this cricket tournament were borne by him. When all the proceeds of the cricket tournament were to be donated to Ronak’s family. Then the people of the society contributed generously in this tournament and collected a whopping amount of Rs. 19.30 lakhs. The money was deposited in the name of the deceased Ronak’s 3-year-old daughter in a sincere attempt to brighten her future. Seeing the purpose of this cricket tournament, the family of Rameshbhai Patel from Sonwada village also announced to pay for the lifelong education of the girl child and her marriage. A total of 10 teams took part in the cricket tournament held at Kalwada village in Valsad. In which Lilapore and Ghej village team reached the final and Lilapore Patidar became the champion of the Premier League. Both the teams also donated all the prize money to the family. Trishit Patel, Brijesh Patel and Deepak Patel worked hard to make this tournament a success.
