Mamlatdar Nirav Patel become a member of the library

A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. A library’s collection can include books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microform, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, and other formats. Libraries range in size from a few shelves of books to several million items. Sidney Sheldon perfectly describes: “Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life.” Coming from a humble background, from the interior regions of Chikhli. Travelling through ST bus from a very tender age, had made our Executive Mamlatdar Nirav Patel realize the importance of education. Especially in preparations for his GPSC Examination, the library played a key role in clearing his examinations. That’s one of the main reasons Mamlatdar has taken this initiative of “Renovation of Pardi Library” in his hands. He feels that the library is in a  dilapidated condition and has come down to a conclusion that it needs a complete Makeover. The first step he took by becoming a member of Pardi Library and setting an example for others to do the same. His vision is to set up a  library with an architect of attractive design, with a cosy feeling that attracts the reader to come and get lost in the world of books. Different compartments and sections need to be added. For example, for senior citizens a standing area for reading newspaper, a complete silence area for examination preparations, a discussion area for healthy discussions, with a coffee and tea section and internet facilities and an open arena for debates and speeches. The list is endless so are people’s perspectives. I want people in Pardi to register their accounts and make the best use of the library. Together with the support of all we will be able to accomplish this task.  Indeed rightly said “ Bad libraries build collections, good libraries build services, great libraries build communities.”
