The Gujarat Council of Science and Technology (GUJCOST) conducts many educational programs to promote science and technology and increase public awareness about these subjects. As one of their efforts to encourage the technologically skilled youth of the state, GUJCOST has announced a competition called ‘RoboFest – Gujarat 2.0’ for the students of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The students who wish to participate have to submit their application forms to GUJCOST till January 31, 2021. Seven different types of robots have been included in thr competion. They are 1) Four-legged robot in quadrangular motion 2) submarine or water robot 3) rovers (eight wheels, 6 to 8 freesize camera, auto memory / GPS guided 4) remote sensor prosthetic limbs 5) power exoskeleton and 6)micro robots (6cm or below) for supporting climbing robots and 7)knees/hips of the robots The RoboFest- Gujarat 2.0 is a three-level competition. Interested students can participate in the Level-1 of the competition in any seven categories. The team who wins the Level-1 will be awarded with Rs. 30 thousand. The team who wins Level-2 and Level-3 will be awarded with 1-2 lacs and 3 lacs respectively. This competition is a great platform for students to have a startup and become good entrepreneurs.
